[Public-list] 5200 between planks

Albergers,

I am replacing the Plexiglas tops of the lazarette and forward hatches with teak boards about 4" wide.  I had thought of separating them about 1/16" and filling the gaps with 5200 hoping this would be more water tight than gluing the boards together and would look a little more shippy.  Might this work?  Am I missing anything?
