hate to seem really non observant, but where is the allen set screw
located? Must be in the back - I did not see anything like that in the
front of the tiller head.

I have taken the tiller head off of Emotional Rescue #303, four or five
times. After loosening the knurled Allen head set screw, I sprayed
Teflon or Blast
Off lubricant on the head, put a block of wood alternately from one
bottom
side to the other and hammered it up and off.
If the bronze bar key in the keyway isn't jammed, it should be rather
easy.
Last year, when the head was wobbly, I inserted a very thin piece of
bronze
sheet between the side of the key and the keyway; it helped for a few
months. I
would also like to get a new head and am also going to Strictly Sail on
Thursday, the first day.
Do you know which vendor sells them at the Show? Can we meet? I live in
Chicago.
