George/ Gordon... I was thinking that unless the wind put up a huge strain
or the mast started pumping/ect... it might work out ok without running back
stays or a fore stay release lever and  base at the tack (ABI Products makes
such an animal). 				I thought I could hank  it to those large cleats on the
fore deck and run it up the flagpole so to speak.  When i was first introduced
to racing on Lake St. Clair  the skipper of the Columbia 29 I crewed for would
have us hank on a little extra sail area this way.     What do you think ?  

		I can't remember if we won?  ... we did party well!
