[alberg30] Confirmation of Year Built

Have been e-mailing John Edwards of  Toronto, owner of Summer Salt (#447).  He reports that  #447 was laid-up in 1970.  I purchased Tangaroa (#445) in 1982 from Irish Boats, Harbor Springs, Michigan at which time the boat was listed and documented (State of Michigan title) as being built in 1972.  Given some of the features of #445, (primarily the hull/deck joint configuration), it had to have been laid-up in or after 1970.  Does any one know if there is any kind registry for A-30s which might clear up this apparent contradiction?  Is there any way to contact anyone who worked for/owned Whitby Boats (or it successor corporation) that might be able to shed some light on this?
