Lee,
No there is no connection,  my previous command was called "Who Knows"
and when my bride and I acquired the Alberg it was called "Dushka Too"
which was a pet name that Kurt Hanson's wife had as a child.  We asked
Doris if she would be offended if we changed the name and that sparked a
contest within our family on boat names.  I wanted to call it "Who Knows
2" but was quickly outvoted.  My bride and daughters thought that it was
sort of a 'mink' color so they wanted to call it "Minx".  I convinced
them that there were a lot of boats with that name and perhaps Mynx
would be better.  They pondered it for a bit and agreed.  I then told
them that because there was another boat in the registry called Minx
that the Registrar would not allow it without a "2". Therefore,  it
became "Mynx 2".  I painted the name on her so that it reads as though
it were a mathematical formula with the "2" as though it raised the
power.  In other words,  " Who knows 2" and I win.

Long story I know but.....

As to the racing,  I think Kurt lost about 3 knotmeters which were
installed in the bulkhead,  along with a compass and that was what he
was alluding to.  I used to race with him on various boats and his crew
had a knack for breakage.
