[alberg30] Backing down

When in reverse, the propwash is flowing over the keel rather than
the rudder.  In effect, this means that you have a very large
fixed rudder and a small steerable keel.  I find that using reverse
gear to get the boat moving backwards and then giving a shot of 
forward gear to provide some waterflow over the rudder helps to
control the boat.

Also, when backing, the prop walk makes the boat want to turn
to starboard.  Try to plan such that you want to turn to
starboard rather than port.
