Greg, I have used the hotter plugs in my atomic 4. I am using fresh
water cooling with a thermostat and have found they are no problem
because the temp stays low enough to offset higher temps on top of the
pistons. I also have an adjustable main jet it works well also. Keep a
few sets of new plugs on the boat when starting out to get a good
indication of color . I am going to try an additive this summer to
remove some of the carbon. This is a common cause these days because of
the gasoline. Hope this will help.. Joel
