Cast iron vs. Lead

Tom,

Lead has an obvious advantage over cast iron in that it is denser,
placing the center of gravity lower and providing more righting
moment.  It's also true that lead is less affected by water.  Iron
rusts and expands when it does.

That said, the keels of the Alberg 30's have been very stable.
