Tom, Thanks, My alternator is puting out current.  The old voltage regulater 
wasn't passing it on.  Put in a new regulater, and ampmeter does not indicate 
any charge yet.  I replaced the ampmeter a number of years ago.  If it is 
burned out, will that stop the batteries from charging?  I don't know a lor 
about electric circuits.
