The best source I've found for new Lewmars at low prices, as well as for
used winches, is Marine Exchange in Peabody, Mass. They have a good catalog
and an 800 number. Their price for a new Lewmar 40 self-tailer is about
$200. less than the Boat/US, West Marine, Defender price. To make it even
better, they will buy your old winches.
