I vote to cut it down and use it.  Those bronze fittings are suspect.  When I
bought my A30 that's what she had.  Droped the pole one day when I first had
the boat, ant one fitting broke.  Looking closely I could see that it had been
cracked, and brazed.  Glad it didn't happen under a lot of breeze and hurt
someone.  I refottef with modern end fittings.  Of course if you just want to
look at it......
