Greg:
    I had a dodger made that has an awning that zips to the back of the
dodger and is held up at its aft end by a hoop that rises above the back
of the cockpit with two straps that run down to the toe rail. It is very
good at keeping the sun off yet is not terribly in the way and can be
easily stowed by unzipping the awning and leaning the hoop aft. Easier
than it sounds.
