Tom,

I think it does.  It may not seal as well, but a dodger is wonderful
for extending the sailing season comfortably.  It also allows you
to leave the companionway hatch open at anchor in the rain during the
summer.

If you want a seahood, you might check with Read Beigel.  At one time
he was making them.
