In reguards to a dodger on a boat with out a sea hood - PUT ONE ON!
We have been using one on Isa Lei for the past 10 years and would not be with 
out it.  Granted it blocks the wind on hot summer days, but when there is any 
good wind and we are going to windward it is invaluable.  The seal is good 
enough, just make sure it is well forward, about where the forward edge of 
the hatch is when closed and stretchthe windshield fairly tight.  What little 
leakage won't bother you.
