Sounds as though the slide is sticky. Maybe just taking it apart and cleaning
would help. I would not try WD-40 as that sometimes adds to the stickiness. Or
maybe the contacts are dirty. Or the contact is worn so it does not touch until
hit a couple of times. Sounds as though the rebuild was not as good as it
should be.
