I am going to need to do something also. Mine jumped the sheave and jammed also, but two hours in a bosun's chair got it back in the right place and with the preventer plates reinstalled. If it jumps again.............
I will probably stay with the wire halyard because Andante has a reel halyard winch on the cabin top, so you can hoist the main from the cockpit. If I go to rope halyard, I think I will lose this convenience.
