You should have 40+ lbs. @ running speed, 20 lbs. or a bit less at idle when the engine is hot & has plenty of oil.  You can adjust the pressure - it is a screw that
adjusts the valve, but be very sure that you don't have some other problem before you do so.  I can send you details if you decide to play with it.

Too low pressure is most likely too little oil, a leaking or plugged line, the adjusting valve needing adjustment or wearing out, or the pump going bad (in ascending order
of cost).

Too much pressure is probably the adjustment, wrong oil (use SAE 30), or plugged line.  I have never had this problem myself.
