Just something to provoke thought:

    In looking at my yacht insurance policy I notice that I am covered
only on Chesapeake Bay and tributaries, not east of Delaware City at the
east end of the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal, nor outside the Cape Henry
- Cape Charles line nor south of Portsmouth, Virginia, on the Inland
Waterway.
    Nothing unreasonable about that, but frankly I had not focused on
the idea that my coverage excluded Delaware Bay (unpleasant as it often
is), nor the ICW south of Portsmouth, which I do not think of as
particularly hazardous.

    I understood that if I was going offshore I needed more coverage,
but not down the Delaware River.

    I suppose those on the Great Lakes, the Mississippi, etc. have
similar limits. Do you know what they are?
