Thomas:

Go to a foam supplier or fabric shop and ask for a closed cell foam.
You can get any firmness you want, we have a two ply, moderate in the
first layer, firmer in the second so you don't "bottom out."  Closed
cell so moisture doesn't absorb in from the humid air and they smell
fresher longer and are easier to clean.   

Go for a snug fit, use the old foam for a template if it was a good fit
or take it in and have them fit it.   I'm in Hamilton, Ontario Canada so
there's no point in giving you an address, I'm sure there are plenty of
good shops in your area.
