[alberg30] Bow Chocks

My 1967 Alberg 30 #233 has the chocks for the bow lines screwed to the
top of the teak toe rails.  It seems obvious that such an arrangement
cannot take too much strain before splitting the toe rail.  Has anyone
found a practical solution to this?  Any suggestions will be
appreciated.
