Hi Bill,
When we bought Stargazer, the chocks had been moved aft about a foot, to get 
them into solid wood.  the two chocks had torn out of the toe rail during a 
tow in rough weather, taking some wood with them.
When we get to that project, I'm going to go with the flush chocks, with 
bolts carrying through beneath the deck, if I can fit them.
