Gavin, Ah Ha, you lent your boat to some clods, and they screwed it up, and 
made a pact among themselves not to mention it.  Called stonewalling.  Don't 
do that again.  Perhaps:  they had the boom in the water and draged it, with 
to much sail on,  that could cause damage.  or caught it on something.  I 
would press them to find out what happened. and ask for help (money, or time, 
or both) to repair it.
