So I went down to work on my boat this weekend, and on the way back home I
spent four hours on US 95 reciting "This @#$%^ Boat: a poem of Rage" by
yours truly.

Seems I just can't get much accomplished working on this disaster, what
with all the hurricanes slapping the east coast, work related bs on the
weekend, and an ever shrinking "Boat Repair Fund" that the old lady has
annexed in the name of new bedroom furniture.( I figure by the time I get
this thing back in the water and attending its first Association function,
my great grandson will be commodore.)
Not only does my boat look haggard and just plain nasty, but the deck
creeks.
Whats with the creaking? Is my deck delaminated? Should I care? I've sealed
every porthole, every stanchion base, every cleat pad, toe rail, bow
pulpit, you name it. I doubt the deck is wet. Nothing oozes up when I drill
a hole in the deck, and I suspect the deck is just delaminated near the
cabin base. It doesn't flex a whole lot, just creeks.....
Should I squirt some resin onto holes into the deck? The creaking never
ceases to remind me that the deck may not be bulletproof.
Anyway, just in case you were the only one out there who's boat sucks, I'm
here to tell you you're not. I'm thinking about you. Misery loves company.
