One more item to add to the winter tool kit is a Rubbermaid Plastic Dust Pan. 
 It makes a good snow shovel.  Small enough to fit the decks and soft enough 
to not scratch the deck or bright work.  It is also easy to use under the 
cover for any snow that gets in.
