Hello Bob,

The recommended Danforth anchor size is 13lb for boats our weight.   The
next size up is 16lb, wit\ch really has the same holding power, then 22lb,
which for the Alberg would be a good storm anchor.  I would suggest a
minimum of 10' of 5/16" chain.  I use an all chain rode myself.  We carry a
13lb danforth, a  25lb plough, and a 25lb fisherman.  Each anchor has a 200'
rope rode, and of course there is 100' of 5/16 chain on the plough
