Dick, at the aft of the cockpit is where mine is.  I forget the make, but it 
has rollers.  Harken is first class.  True, it won't be a straight up pull,, 
but its close, and works well. Back there it is out of the way, and no one 
will trip over it.  Buy the windward sheeting traveler while you're at it.  
It always trims from the high side, with one line.  Great improvement.  You 
will be amazed at how much it improves sail trim.  You will be able to trim 
the boom on centerline in light air, or even a little to windward of that for 
more weather helm.  Note I said 'a little', and ease the sail down without 
losing overall trim.
