[alberg30] leak

My hull number is 90 and I have an access panel in the top of the V-berth to
get to the water tank. I don't recall exactly what the clearance is, but I
will be going to my boat in the next day or two and I will measure it.

Peter, I see your number 478 probably has the interior liner -- mine does
not. Maybe I can cut a new access hatch in the plywood V-berth base, over
top of the water tank. But then do I risk damaging the tank underneath? And

is there enough clearance between the plywood and the tank for a jigsaw
blade
to cut?

You might be right about the leak from a full water tank from fasteners at
the top of the tank. My boat pitched fore and aft a good deal from prop
wash
while tied up in the marina. I suppose the motion could have sloshed the
water over leaky spots at the top of the tank. When she's on her mooring,
she lies much more calmly, with little fore-and-aft pitching. So maybe
that's the cause.

Does anyone with an older A30 have any suggestions? Is it possible to cut
an
access hatch above the tank? If so, how?
