Chet,

With VC 17 you only need to recoat the abrasions and perhaps the whole
bottom every three years. That is what our racers do in Hamilton, Lake
Ontario, and they are pretty particular of the smoothness of their
bottoms.

The paint is worthless in salt though, but fantastic in sweet.
