The two part wood bleach product which I used is sold under the Parks brand.
I believe the one part is primarily sodium hydroxide and the other is
primarily hydrogen peroxide. Brian

Brian thanks.  I tried bleach on the piece of wood in the front of the
compass well this weekend.  It worked, sort of.  I am interested in anything
that is as easy. but gets a better result.
