Dan,
No. The crack was at the outboard corner of the
starboard bunk liner, up high, adjacent to the hull. I
assumed it was from the ice, but maybe not. Under
#590's V-berth floor board there is an open space to
the hull leading aft. The next section is a holding
tank that incorporates some of the liner, but has space
below it for water to flow aft. The next space is the
battery compartment, also several inches above the
hull. You can pour water from the v-berth floor and it
runs eventually into the lowest bilge, below the prop
and stern tube. The top of the glassed area below the
aft end of the floor under the engine has surface
cracks much like a dry clay streambead. I think these
are superficial and occur when resin is poured on too
thick and then hardens. The liners in the cockpit
lockers can bend and sometimes crack if heavily leaned
on. Other than that everything looks solid, even the
tabbing between the forward bulkheads and the hull.

Bob,
Are you referring to the storage space accessed through
the hatches in
the floor? In my case, there is some cracking there,
roughly 3" apart
(1-1/2" each side of the center) and running fore and
aft maybe 6", but
it appears to be limited to where there is glass over
the wood "liner."
That seems to be the only area, although it is
impossible to inspect
under the liner without major disassembly, and I also
(generally) have
faith in the strength of the hull structure.
