That's a US Coast Guard documentation number. I checked the
Coast Guard Vessel Documentation Center at
http://www.uscg.mil/hq/g-m/vdoc/nvdc.htm, but all I found is
a list of documented vessels available on CD-ROM for $125.
You could try contacting JJQUINN at NVDC.USCG.MIL and asking
about the documentation record of that vessel. That should
give you the official serial number.
