Thanks for the reply.  I came from the small boat fleets i.e. 505's,
Thistles etc.   I had always dreamed of a boat with a wheel.  For the most
part I will be single handing.

Phil,
    I put a wheel on my Alberg, BRIGADOON II. There is an Edson "kit" to
do that. Their catalog has the parts and Edson has an installation
diagram. It is important to get the wheel positioned far enough forward
to give the helmsman sufficient space and far enough aft to give as much
cockpit space as possible. I put the instruments on the pedestal, which
I really like.
