I think you may have hit on my problem, cavitation.... The prop people 
recommended 20% of prop diameter as the guide for apeture size. The 13" prop 
on "Mandolaire" is not 20% smaller than the apeture, there is just a little 
less than 2" clear. However I was out in 20+ kts yesterday and it motored 
into the wind and tide at 5+kts without vibration or running hot so till I 
finish with the intercoastal I'll leave it alone then put the 2 blade back 
on... Thanks for the input..
