Sounds complicated... I favour a tack hook (Pig-tail shaped) bolted to the
goosneck, using the same hole as the regular tack shackle.  As for the new
clew... we run a reefing line from an eye strap on the port side of the boom
below and somewhat aft of directly below the reef clew, up to the reef, down
the other side of the sail to a cheek block and forward to near the
gooseneck where there is a clam cleat w/a fairlead.  The later position
allows you to tuck in a reef on any point of sail with no need to haul the
boom inboard.   With that set-up, one person can reef the sail in under a
minute.   We don't count tying the reef points as part of reefing - that is
just tidying up, which is done when there is time.

I'll post the sail dimensions when I've got them nailed down.
