Peter,

Have you tried the baits, sprays, bombs and traps available from your local
hardware store?

I've used these very successfully against roaches in the past on the
Sorceress.  On a side note, if you decide to bomb, use a smoking type, use
several, put them everywhere, unhook your batteries AND shore tie, tape the
boat to make her air tight and leave the fumigators for a week.  I used 6
smokers, one in the bilge, one under the v berth, one in each lazarette, and
one in the salon and haven't seen a critter of any kind since.
