If you were going to have a yard do the work the estimate I would give would
be $980; based upon 10 hours @ $60 ($600); $280 for the aluminum plates;
$100 for misc (epoxy, bolts, paint, caulk etc)

Tom... as you can see there is a fix for your problem and it will take
some time and some money to do... if you haven't closed your deal you
should make a price adjustment for your or the yards labor and material.
