John,
I installed the ProFurl unit this spring and in the process had to make a
new forestay. I would recommend using Sta Lok fittings and purchase a piece
of wire (I used one size up from 1/4" I am in my office and don't have the
data available) and assembly the unit yourself. It is quite simple to do, my
son and I built the ProFurl and rigging within an hour. Just follow the
directions in the Sta Lok package.

I almost forgot. Along with the broken forestay, it would appear there is
damage to the roller furler. While I have to replace the forestay, the
furler could wait. I have a hanked on drifter and working jib, but no
genoa. Does anyone have an old(cheap) genoa that might get me through the
summer. I don't race so it doesn't have to be in great shape.

Help, I've broken my forestay. Can I order a new one from someplace like
West Marine by using a standard length. We have noone in our area of MI
that does rigging work. I have found someone to replace it if I can get
one.
