Peter,

I changed to a rope halyard a year ago. It was quite easy. I called
West Marine and ordered the recommended halyard. I took the old
sheave and the rope to a machine shop in the morning. In the
afternoon the sheave had been machined to fit the halyard. $35!! The
halyard worked perfectly after that.

This needs a change of sheave. Has anyone done this conversion,if so
what was the new sheave and where did you find it.<BR>
