[Alberg30] Valves and through hulls

I use both Marelon and bronze valves. 

I've adapted standard plumbing stuff for use in my
water system but I would really hesitate to use PVC or
CPVC in a situation where the boat's survival depended
on it (and I like to save a few dollars more than the
next guy, I think). It seems tough but does not flex
or take shock well, especially when it's cold.

I'd stick with Marelon or Bronze. I have both on my
boat now and don't believe one is better than the
other.
