[Alberg30] rubrail

Here is some addiditonal info:

The rub rail was made of oak I had the trapezoidal shape made as the lumber yard
cut it from an 1.5" thick board, it then required hand planing to get it smooth and
to match the pieces. It is made in two pieces with a joint near the center of the
boat. The feature stripe was filled in before thru bolting the rail through the
hull. I first fitted the rail and drilled the holes for the bolts . Then took it
off and put it back on with bedding compound under it. The bolts were counter sunk
in the rail, the rail installed, and the aluminum piece screwed on last.

The rubrail starts about 4' back from the beginning of the stripe, about even with
the front of the forward hatch, with 2' of stripe exposed aft. The aluminum piece
is the same dimension as the stainless piece that runs vertically down the front of
the bow to below the waterline. It's cross section is smaller than what you
propose. Maybe 1.5" tapering to 1"
