[Alberg30] Fishing

Ibby -

I have had good luck (relatively speaking) trolling for spanish mackeral
- they like a lure moving at 4 -6 knots. Use a Clark spoon, about
2.5-3" long (I forget the number), 1 or 2 ounce weight, and GOOD
ball-bearing swivels. You don't need really heavy tackel, I use 15 lb.
test line, medium spinning reel, rod rated to cats 1 - 3 oz weights.
The rod is overkill, but allows us to fish off the beach if we want.

I troll past the mouth of a creek or inlet on a falling tide for best
results.

Having said all that, my favorite Alberg fishing is at anchorm in the
dingy, or wading with an ultralight rod or a dip net. Like all kids (I
turned 40 this year), I don't need to catch big fish, I just want to
have fun.

My $0.02
