John, I just went through the same "flooding" situation. I just removed the
carb, openned it up,and cleaned it out with Gumout Carb cleaner spray. When
you do this, follow Moyer's advice and get a small dowel (3/16 I think),
sharpen it in a pencil sharpener and "dress up" the needle seat by putting
it in and spinning it. This cleans the seat. Reassemble and check it out.
Mine came out fine.
