Your friend's observation confirms my belief that, if the glass around the 
top were cut away and the floors removed( i forget the proper term for the 
small cross-wise bulkheads which support the cabin sole- I think its 
"floors"), the ballast would not be that difficult to remove.Of course, this 
doesn't apply to the lined boats, only the linerless ones like mine.
