Now I'm getting nervous...been eagerly checking for advice or foresail
offerors every 15 minutes but alas, none. Tomorrow a.m. I plan to call
every sailmaker who's listed in 2001 Chesapeake Bay ALberg 30 Handbook but
am still eager to hear from y'all. Thank you.
RDH Correction #235, Sun Spur.

Subject: Help! Need foresail for Roller Furling
HELP!! Any suggestions on where I can borrow, rent, or purchase a foresail
for furling system quickly for my relocation cruise on Alberg 30 #245 this
weekend. Need to get one this Friday by noon.
Details:
Had roller furling installed at losing marina with apparent
miscommunications on sail.
Now have no foresail to make the York River to DC journey; not eager to fly
just mainsail.
I currently live in DC area and can drive to borrow, rent, or buy foresail.
Unfortunately, I don't have furling system model # until marina opens
tommorrow a.m.

Just for completeness, I'd guess that the mast base is about
5 feet (or a little less) above the waterline, giving the
43 foot minimum clearance mentioned earlier.
Everyone should note that this clearance is only for bridges, NOT
POWER LINES. High-tension lines can arc an amazing distance.

If you add 4 meters (~13 feet) you get a minimum clearance of
56 feet for power lines.
