[Alberg30] cost of shipping a boat?

When looking at boats, I briefly considered a boat in the Chesapeake area.
I received a quote of $1700 to haul the boat from there to Maine.  Based on
mileage, your looking at approx. $3 per mile.  At $8000, you are
significantly below that cost.
