Mike Lehman,

As you are aware I installed the plates under the mast step on Carina Vela,
which looks great.  I was wonderinng if it would  benefit the support
structure to add two additional bolts in the center of the beam and tie the
plates together there as well. This would place the force of the mast
equally along the plates and beam?

Thoughts and comments?
