[Alberg30] Re: Pintel&Gudgeon

The pintel on my Alberg is worn down to nub and needs to be replaced. 
The question is how?  I have looked back into the archives and found 2
e-mails on the subject about this problem.  The verdict seems to be to
make a new pin from 1/2 bronze stock machining the threaded portion to
a 3/8" tapped a hole in the rudder post and screwed the new pin into
the rudder. Has anyone tried a different approach or is this the best
way to fix the problem.  The gudgeon is a little out of round but not
too bad.  Any help on the problem would be greatly appreciated.
