[Alberg30] Tightening the stuffing box

There is a lock nut that holds the stuffing nut in place. You have to loosen
the lock nut (the one further aft) by turning it clockwise (assuming your
tail is in the cabin and your laying over the engine, looking down and aft
at it). Once it's loose, then tighten the stuffing nut to stop any drip.
Tighten the lock nut against the stuffing nut before you run the shaft.
Start your motor up and put it in gear (or go for a short motor ride). Check
the stuffing box while your running. The CORRECT setting is an occasional
drip while running and no drip with the shaft still. If you've tightened it
to the point where it doesn't drip while running, you MUST touch it
immediately after running (or while running if that's possible for you) to
check that it's not getting hot!
  Try to use the correct size wrenches on the nuts instead of those flimsy
adjustable wrenches. If you haven't adjusted it in several years, you might
need a hammer to help the wrench, and those cheap adjustables won't hold
there setting.
  It's easier to do than it sounds.
