Chris,
When I removed and replaced all the thru hulls, the flange on the thru hull
seemed to larger then the product available today. The nibs didn't exist
either, in some cases I used a 1/4" Dremel bit and cut them out of the hull.

HEY-- Mike on those original thru hulls--- I'm replacing the gate valve
for my head discharge, the thru hull on my boat does not have the small
nibs in the bore in order to get a inside wrench onto. It doesn't look
homemade but most of the new ones have those little nibs inside the
bore. Is there any other distinguishing feature I should look for?
