What is your reasoning / experience for wanting it as far back? I was 
considering mounting one just behind the bridge deck, with the idea that it 
put you in easy reach of the winches for singlehanding and left the whole 
rest of the cockpit aft of the wheel free. Also leaves enough room for an 
emergency tiller. I think the middle is the worst position: you can't reach 
the winches, it breaks up the cockpit completely and you're ALWAYS going 
around it and you only have room for a stub tiller in an emergency. That's 
where the previous owner of Ashwagh (#23) had it and I removed it and 
restored the tiller.  Any thoughts on this ('max forward') solution, anyone?
